Pricing managers often tend to treat the sales team as the recipients of the pricing strategy. Others see sales people as the enemy of pricing as “they just want to discount as much as possible”. However, successful price managers often involve the sales team from the very beginning of the price strategy process and they are acutely aware that if “Sales” doesn’t agree with pricing strategy, it may simply result in beautiful slides for the senior management without changing the actual net prices that the customers pay.
Participants will learn about building cooperative processes between the pricing team and the sales team, about managing resistance in the sales force to price changes and how to manage pricing execution in sales teams that are geographically dispersed around the globe.
